| For
clients around the Dunedin area there's no charge
to visit you, take a look at the site, go over some ideas and discuss
what you want to achieve.
Once you have decided
what landscaping work you need we can provide a free quotation.
Quotations are
always well-specified and detailed. This way you know exactly what
work is involved and how much it will cost.

Landscape
Concept Plans
|
|
 |
|
|
Got a blank canvass
section - don't know where to begin?
A concept plan
will break up the area, skipping over finer details to instead concentrate
on defining how the space will be used, identifying functional areas,
aesthetics, form and how the planting fits into the overall scheme.
You can even choose your
favourite from several potential designs, and keep working with
Paul as the design is refined until ready for construction.
Concept plans can include
any of the following:
- Hard surface areas
- Locations of lawns,
decks, driveways...
- Steps, terraces and
level changes
- Retaining walls and
fences
- Mapping out existing
trees & vegetation
- Deciding where new
planting will go
- Drainage

|
| Taking
into account site conditions, soils, aspect, exposure and most importantly
your tastes, planting plans and schedules will be crafted.
These are detailed working
documents drawn up to your specifications to show the plants to
be used, positioning and planting / cultivation requirements.

| Ornamental
trees, shrubs and native plants all require specific
horticultural requirements. Our team gives new planting projects
the best possible start by using experience gained whilst planting
so many sites in the Dunedin area.
Planting success
is all about knowing what plants are going to grow well in your
section's soil, aspect and region. Getting it wrong can be expensive.
Utilising our experience
will minimise mortality and give a pleasing mix of plants that grow
well together and blend well in colour, foliage, flower and form.
Installation of decorative
mulches in gardens, or mulch matting
on larger revegetation projects is often beneficial. |

|
| It
is very frustrating to have a planting plan filled with lovely plants
you cannot find at local nurseries. I spent 5 years as a nurseryman
trying to source impossible orders and solve this problem for clients.
Subsequently I
am always keen to take you beyond the design phase into the practicalities
of implementing each planting scheme.
This can involve sourcing
all trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants whilst giving you a detailed
breakdown of prices and budget options.

|
| A
freshly planted design looks great, but with time and care it can
only get better as it matures...
This is why I offer a
free aftercare consultation visit to local Dunedin
clients. Take the opportunity to ask for horticultural advice regarding
the planting's development, pruning or maintenance.
Ongoing maintenance
schedules can be arranged to weed, prune, spray and tidy
as necessary.
